Advanced Panchang

Endpoint POST https://starsapi.com/api/v3/vedic/panchang/advanced

The full daily panchang, computed at local sunrise: all five limbs with exact start and end times and the next entity in sequence; the Hindu calendar (amant + purnimant maas with adhik-maas detection, paksha, ritu, ayana, samvatsara with Vikram/Shaka/Kali years); sun–moon timings with day/night durations; Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, and Gulika windows; Abhijit and Brahma muhurta; gandanta and panchak status; and the additional block — namakshar, tarabala, chandrabala, and disha shool.

Hora and choghadiya are intentionally separate endpoints: hora, choghadiya.

Request body

`timezone`	string	Yes	IANA timezone (e.g. `Asia/Kolkata`).
`ayanamsa`	string	No	Default `lahiri`.
`birth_nakshatra`	integer	No	Birth nakshatra 1–27 (1 = Ashwini … 27 = Revati). Enables personal `tarabala`; omitted → tarabala returns a note.

Response shape

Field	Type	Description
`five_limbs`	object	Tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, vaar — each with number, Hindi name, `start_time`/`end_time`, and the `next` entity. Karana also carries its tithi-half context.
`calendar`	object	`maas` in both systems (Amavasyant + Purnimant) with adhik-maas flags and month start/end dates, `paksha`, `ritu`, `ayana`, `samvatsara` (name, Vikram/Shaka samvat, Kali Yuga year).
`inauspicious_periods`	object	Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika — start/end, ashtamsa period number, `is_active` at request time.
`auspicious_periods`	object	Abhijit muhurta (solar-noon ±24 min) and Brahma muhurta (96–48 min before sunrise).
`special_periods`	object	`gandanta` and `panchak` activity with window details when active.
`additional.tarabala`	object	Tarabala for the person's `birth_nakshatra` against the day's nakshatra — inclusive count, 9-tara cycle (Janma … Parama Mitra). Without `birth_nakshatra` in the request, returns a note instead.
`additional.chandrabala`	object	Moon strength percentage and phase for the day.
`additional.disha_shool`	object	Weekday-based forbidden travel direction (e.g. Friday → West).

Errors

400	`INVALID_TIMEZONE`	Non-IANA timezone.
400	`INVALID_COORDINATE`	Lat/lon out of range.
